Postgraduate Virtual Open Event

We are delighted to announce that the Department of Classics and Ancient History are holding a virtual postgraduate event on Monday 14th March 2022. We are holding online sessions presenting our Masters degrees, as well as doctoral (PhD) study.

Doctoral (PhD) Study in Classics and Ancient History
Monday 14th March, 2pm - 3pm

The department of Classics and Ancient History has research expertise in Greek and Latin literature, ancient Greek drama, numismatics, the medical humanities and Greco-Arabic studies, epigraphy, ancient space, as well as Greek and Roman history and material culture more broadly. The department has a lively research environment, with weekly seminars and training activities during term time and conferences throughout the year. This session will cover the application process, including developing a thesis topic, life as a doctoral student at Warwick, and the funding opportunities available. A current student will also present their experience; the presentation will be followed by a Q/A.

Masters Degrees in Classics and Ancient History
Monday 14th March, 3pm - 4pm

The session will provide an overview of our two Taught Masters programmes - Ancient Visual and Material Culture, and Ancient Literature and Thought - as well as our masters by research degrees. We will discuss course content, opportunities for study abroad, offer a student perspective and discuss funding opportunities available. The presentation will be followed by a Q/A.
