Senate House Stage

12.30-21.00, Senate House Lawn

Join us in the sun on Senate House Lawn to hear some of the best bands here at Warwick. BandSoc have put together an exciting programme of acts covering a range of music genres to enjoy from lunchtime until evening. So - grab a drink and some food from the market stalls nearby, or bring a picnic, and enjoy what we hope will be the start of a great summer on campus.

Take a look at some of the bands and artists that will be performing:

Red Lamp

17.20-17.35

Red Lamp is so much more than the red lamp in Ronnie Scott’s jazz club it was named after. Red Lamp is ambition. It is shooting for the stars of pop music, by traversing across the sky through oceans of jazz, volcanoes of punk, forests of indie, and clouds of experimentation. Some say Red Lamp is overambitious.

Lemongrass

13.10-13.40

We are five mates who just enjoy making music and having fun. Our genre could be described as indie/psychedelic music. Newly released music on the way very soon…

Aressa

16.45-17.05

I'm Aressa and I'm a first year student studying MORSE. My music is mainly alternative/indie and I'm a singer-songwriter.

Ed Webster

12.30-12.50

I’m Ed, a singer-songwriter from Bolton. I mainly play acoustic guitar and am influenced by bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Oasis and Rise Against. Stylistically, I mainly play and write songs that would come under folk however there are also blues and funk elements that bleed into the way I play and write as well.

Feed the Mammoth

18.30-19.05

Feed the Mammoth are a four piece funk punk indie rock band playing tunes to make you groove.

Deadlinescape

19.20-19.55

We are a Coventry-based quintet that formed in October 2021, with a sound that's been described as "Hans Zimmer, Paramore and Pendulum together" (BBC Introducing Midlands). Our eclectic influences range from electronic to metalcore, punk to trap, and even cinematic orchestral music. These have resulted in tracks like our debut single "Eternity" released in February, which we hope you'll find head-bangable, yet approachable and digestible!

Mortis

20.10-20.45

We are a highly energetic rock band that are on the rise after coming 3rd in the 2022 Warwick BOTBs! If you like singing, headbanging or even moshing… then it sounds like you belong in the Mortis family. Follow us on instagram (@mortisband) to be the first to know about our upcoming EP.

Juliet's Control

14.00-14.15

Juliet’s Control is an indie rock band pulling from all different influences — and all different parts of Europe. With members with ties to England, France, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and India, listening to bands like Inhaler, The Neighbourhood, The Stone Roses, Fontaines D.C. and The Front Bottoms, we bring a range of interests and passions to band practices that feel more like hanging out than doing work, more exploratory than exacting. Our new music centres heavily on indie catchiness, guitar-driven groove and post punk psychedelic rock sensation.

Sunny Side Down

14.30-15.00

Sunny Side Down are a group of friends creating a sound and personality that is distinctive within the indie scene. With melodic vocals and punchy basslines, the band pride themselves on their intimate lyrics that balance weighty melancholy with a wholesome and bright tone. If you look past the kitschy explorer hats and silly one-liners, you might just hear something you quite like!

Femicide

17.50-18.15

Femicide plays alternative rock with a gothic twist. A collaborative effort, each member contributes to the songwriting process. The band name and many of our lyrics aim to spread awareness of violence against women.
