Qualifications:

I completed my PhD in early modern history at Warwick in 2018, and have a PGCE and First-Class BA (Hons) in History from the University of Oxford.

Current Research

My main current research project explores encounters between Greek and English individuals and communities c.1450-c.1715, looking across Middle East to North America, focusing particularly upon the English, Venetian, and Ottoman Empires. I have published several articles and chapters in this area. My monograph,Invisible Greeks, is forthcoming with Routledge. I have also published a Victoria County History volume on the parish of Cradley in Herefordshire, and several articles on martyrdom in early modern England.

Prior to my current roles, I held the Munby Fellowship in Global Bibliography at Cambridge University (2023-24), a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship at the University of East Anglia (2020-23), and was Principal Investigator and lead author for Victoria County History’s project on the Herefordshire parish of Cradley (2019-20).
