Sociology and GSD student Seiwaa Osei Afriyie at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly
Following her summer internship, last week Seiwaa represented the SDG Advisory Unit of Ghana under the office of the President at the United Nations General Assembly. She attended two main events, including the Opening Debate, and several side events on topics such as climate change, energy, and poverty.
The experience gave her the opportunity to meet with several Heads of State, as well as Amina Mohammed (Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations) and Professor Jeff Sachs, among other well renowned guests.
She commented that "It was a privilege to hear Head of States and Entrepreneurs from around the Globe championing the goals of Sustainable Development".
