Dr Igor Merheim-Eyre

Igor brings over a decade of experience in foreign and security policies, and European politics, spamming the EU institutions, international democracy support, and academia. He currently serves as Director at Actum LLC Consultancy in London.

Before joining Actum, Igor was the chief of staff and advisor to a senior Member of the European Parliament, covering committees on Foreign Affairs, Security & Defence and International Trade, and played a key role in legislative and non-legislative economic security initiatives to reduce the European Union’s vulnerabilities and dependencies in key sectors, including critical minerals, emerging technologies, or defence.

Prior to that he coordinated US and UK government funded programmes at the International Republican Institute (IRI) focused on building societal and institutional resilience across Europe. Igor holds a PhD from the University of Kent (Canterbury).
