Steven Gorelick

Biography:

Steven M. Gorelick holds the Cyrus F. Tolman Chaired Professorship in the Department of Earth System Science in Stanford University’s Doerr School of Sustainability. He directs the Global Freshwater Initiative with past and active projects in India, Mexico, Vietnam, and Jordan. Prof. Gorelick is a member of a range of prestigious professional organisations and learned societies, including Member of the US National Academy of Engineering, as well as Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Geophysical Union, the Guggenheim Foundation and a Fulbright Distinguished Chair. He has published extensively on groundwater management, water security, water resources vulnerability in developing regions, contaminant remediation, and ecohydrology (Google Scholar h-index 72 with over 17,000 citations).
