MASc Community, Engagement, and Belonging Students visit Historic Coventry Trust
On 5th December 2023, students on the Liberal Arts MASc in Community, Engagement, and Belonging visited the historic Charterhouse in Coventry for a workshop run by Historic Coventry Trust.
Restored and opened to the public in 2023 following a multi-million pound community fundraising initiative, the Charterhouse is one of Coventry's most important heritage sites, with the original monastery dating from the late 14th century.
We heard from Historic Coventry Trust's Education and Engagement Manager, Sarah Allen, about the Trust's work in creating an inclusive and welcoming heritage space for the local community that melds the Charterhouse's rich history with contemporary interests.
