Liberal Arts student is set to cook up a storm in Slovenia
Congratulations to our final year Liberal Arts student, Eva Kastelic, who's been accepted onto Masterchef Slovenia! This is a fantastic opportunity and we wish Eva the very best of luck in the competition.
When did you first start cooking?
"The time I first properly started cooking was in my teens, while living in Budapest. Back then, my family would travel home to Slovenia almost every weekend but because of the workload that came alongside the IB program I couldn't afford to lose eight hours in the car every week by joining them. So, I chose to spend my weekends in Budapest alone instead. At that time, without my parents there to cook for me, therefore, I began to cook for myself."
What are you most looking forward to?
"If I had to choose the one thing I am most looking forward to about being involved in the competition it would have to be the opportunity to learn and gain new experiences. I know it's going to be a crazy challenge, especially to juggle both university work and the cooking at the same time but I think I always learn, and grow, the most when I'm pushed outside of my comfort zone. This is definitely nothing like any experience I've ever gone through before so I'm excited to see where it takes me."
The show will air on Thursday 19 March 2020 at 8pm (Slovenian time).
