Meet our 2020/21 student ambassadors

Hey I'm Arya!

I am a final year student on an Economics (Disciplinary Interest) route. I discovered my interest in Economics early on in my degree but I have really enjoyed the variety of options available to explore as I progressed through the degree. I particularly enjoyed the element of combining my interests with those of my peers in the core modules, which allowed me to engage with a breadth of new issues.

Outside of academics, I have been a part of the Liberal Arts Society and the Men’s Hockey Club. I made so many of my friends through the Hockey club and through the joint socials we had with other societies and sports clubs at Warwick. The course has also been where I have made my closest friends and the Liberal Arts Society has been a great space to remain connected and engaged with each other as we have split off into different pathways, especially in the final year.

I would love to tell you more about my experience at Warwick or answer any other questions you might have about student life here so please feel welcome to reach out to me. Otherwise I’m looking forward to seeing you all at open days!

Hi! My name is Kornelia

I am in my fourth year of Liberal Arts on a pathway named Social Anthropology and Media. I’ve taken modules from across the University – among others from Sociology, the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning, and the Liberal Arts optional modules. I’ve really enjoyed the range of these courses and seeing how I can connect them to really develop my interests, while still having core modules to ground me within the praxis of Liberal Arts.

I also chose to go on a study abroad year to Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago, Chile and Leiden University College in the Hague, Netherlands. While turbulent at times, this was such an enriching part of my degree and I am so grateful to have had that opportunity!

Moving to Warwick from Poland four years ago I would never have expected to love my course as much as I do now! With opportunities to make friends and explore your interests on the course and outside, choosing to study Liberal Arts at Warwick was easily one of the best decisions I’ve made so far! Please feel free to reach out to have a chat anytime!

Hi everyone! My name is Emily

I am a final year student, with a pathway in Culture and Identity.

I have so many interests, ranging from music to philosophy to languages! Through my time at Warwick, I have been able to study them all in different ways. One of my favourite modules has to be the Science of Music (through the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning), which allowed me to study my main passion from a very interdisciplinary perspective.

I love the Liberal Arts Department and its community vibe! Besides socialising with Liberal Arts Society and my coursemates, I spend a lot of my time with the University of Warwick Chamber Choir.

If you would like to get in touch with Emily, please email us: LiberalArts at warwick dot ac dot uk.

I’m Izzie and I am a second year Liberal Arts student.

My pathway is Culture and Identity and I’m really enjoying drawing these themes out of my wide range of modules.

I am involved in Drama at Warwick. I am currently the Diversity and Outreach Officer for Freshblood, a new writing society. I am also a member of various other drama societies and have acted and produced for these.

I really want to help others to understand and get involved with Liberal Arts at Warwick as it is such a unique and engaging program.
