Dr Pitidis attended the RGS-IBG Annual International Conference which took place in London between 27-30 August. This year's theme of the conference was mapping and Vangelis presented his work on 'Dialogical participatory mapping as a method for creating alternative urban visions' under the session (Counter)Mapping and spatial representation of disaster risk, summarising the work he has led and participated in in Europe and Latin America during the last 5 years.

IGSD had a network away day, with a facilitator Dr Paula Black, to review its strategy and identify roadmaps for growing further, including its Thematic and Honorary Fellows' networks. The Away Day took place at the Junction, and was informative as to ways forward, including how to better integrate and contribute to the Sustainability Spotlight Initiative, going forward.

On Monday 13th May, Dr Pitidis chaired the an online Special Joint Session on Climate and SustainabilityLink opens in a new window. The Session was organised as part of the first EUTOPIA Day and included a discussion among 8 experts from EUTOPIA participating Universities.
