Dr Bettina Schwenger

Dr Bettina Schwenger is a Lecturer and Curriculum Development Manager in the Faculty of Arts and Education at Waipapa Taumata Rau, the University of Auckland.
Bettina’s research investigates points at which contemporary learning and teaching issues intersect such as curriculum design and decolonisation, digital competences and critical pedagogies, relational as well as independent learning. Her work explores how diverse epistemologies contribute to inclusive, culturally sustaining curricula. Dr Schwenger’s full Bio is available to view.
WIHEA were delighted to host Bettina, who has expertise and research outputsLink opens in a new window on a number of blended learning and digital literacy topics. She met with members of the WIHEA community to share expertise and experiences including a number of WIHEA Learning Circles and colleagues in the Academic Development Centre. We look forward to building further connections with Bettina and her colleagues in Auckland over the next academic year.

Dr Nira Rahman
November - December 2024
WIHEA was thrilled to host Dr Nira Rahman, a visiting academic from the University of Melbourne! Nira is an academic specialising in Educational Design and Student Engagement in the Arts Teaching Innovation in the Faculty of Arts, University of Melbourne. Her works are focused towards a more inclusive, applicable, transformative and internationalised Arts and Humanities Education.
