Will Davies, Assistant Professor at CIM, will be a co-investigator on a new research project, based at University of Warwick, to examine the wide-ranging impact of the UK government's recent 'Go Home' campaign, aimed at illegal immigrants. The study is funded under the ESRC's new 'Urgent Grant' mechanism, and is being led by Hannah Jones, Assistant Professor at Sociology, University of Warwick. Davies's contribution will examine the methods and modes of expertise which underpin government efforts, to alter perceptions of migration and migration policy, using media campaigns and interventions aimed at attitudes and affects.
