Research Topic
My research focuses on complexity connected to technology, technical infrastructure and policy-making. In particular, my research may consider:
- What complex technologies are?
- How do we define and evaluate them?
- How do they influence policy-making connected to complex technical systems such as the transport and supply infrastructure?
- Do policies influenced by complex technologies work better?
Through my PhD studentship in Interdisciplinary Studies I am linked to the UK’s Centre for the Evaluation of Complexity Across the Nexus (CECAN). My research will contribute to CECAN objectives by exploring the use of data, statistics and visualisation in communicating complex policies.
