Research Topic
My research focuses on complexity connected to technology, technical infrastructure and policy-making. In particular, my research may consider:
- What complex technologies are?
- How do we define and evaluate them?
- How do they influence policy-making connected to complex technical systems such as the transport and supply infrastructure?
- Do policies influenced by complex technologies work better?
Through my PhD studentship in Interdisciplinary Studies I am linked to the UK’s Centre for the Evaluation of Complexity Across the Nexus (CECAN)Link opens in a new window. My research will contribute to CECAN objectives by exploring the use of data, statistics and visualisation in communicating complex policies.
