Dario Papavassiliou
I work with Gareth Alexander (Warwick) in the Turner group on exact solutions for hydrodynamic interactions of swimming microorganisms and self-propelled swimmers. In the past I have worked on quantitative linguistics with Keith Briggs (BT/UWE) and Dario Spanò (Warwick), and on emergent behaviour in ant colonies with Kim Christensen (Imperial College).
I am also a musician, with a particular interest in the musical traditions and instruments of the Mediterranean and the Middle East, and have built a lyra at Warwickshire College in Leamington Spa. I haven't yet worked out how to combine these activities with physics but I am working on it.
