IAS Annual Report 2018
In 2016-17, the IAS was active in a variety of activities involving all faculties, supporting new interdisciplinary collaborations both within Warwick and internationally. It welcomed 25 new Early Career Fellows and provided funding for 26 interdisciplinary and cross-faculty research projects. In order to facilitate international and cross-sectoral engagement, the Institute welcomed a further 40 International Visiting Fellows and Residential Fellows from all continents. This year also marked the fifth anniversary of the journal Exchanges, which has continued to grow and develop.
In September 2017 we welcomed the first cohort of nine independent postdoctoral WIRL-COFUND research fellows from a broad range of disciplines, supported by Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions, to work with the IAS, academic departments and the GRPs.
This Annual Report and the IAS website provide a summary of the Institute’s many initiatives in particular in relation to supporting academic research; engagement with the interdisciplinary postdoctoral community; and the development of University-wide projects.
