IAS Salon - Postdoctoral Symposia

Friday 6 December 12:00 - 14:00, C0.06 (Zeeman)

How can IAS support symposia and other events that are organised or imagined by the postdoc community? We have several funding streams available to support such activities. We hope you can attend this cross-faculty discussion (lunch provided) where we will exchange ideas and make plans on the following:

  • Breaking Barriers seminar series - highlights and celebrates diversity in academia. We are interested in making this department-centred initiative into a university-wide activity, but also how we can produce positive change in academic culture following events like these.
  • Postdoctoral Science Symposium – funding, admin assistance and other resources needed for the second year of this event.
  • What further scope is there for postdoc-led interdisciplinary academic events? IAS would like to give support.
  • Other (please suggest when you register to attend)
