Get Involved with IATL (Staff ONLY)

Are you a member of staff passionate about teaching, learning, and driving innovative approaches to education? IATL offers a range of opportunities for staff across the University to engage with innovative approaches to education.

  1. Support for Departmental Teaching & Learning

Are you a DUGS, DGS, DSEP, or someone involved in delivering teaching and learning in your department?

If you would like to work with IATL on a specific topic—whether it is developing innovative or diverse forms of assessment, inter- or trans-disciplinary teaching, digital or care-rooted pedagogies, or embedding research and enterprise into the curriculum for your students—we would love to hear from you.

IATL offers tailored support for individuals and also for whole Departmental Education/Teaching and Learning Committees, Away Days, and teaching strategy events. Get in touch to explore how we can collaborate.

For an example on how we can support you, please look at this case study from the Department of Philosophy: https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/iatl/sharingpractice/repository/diverse

Please email IATL Director of Education, Dr Heather Meyer, to discuss opportunities: Heather.Meyer@warwick.ac.uk

  1. Contribute to IATL Modules (Undergraduate and Postgraduate)

Would you like to create transformative teaching and learning experiences for students across all disciplines at our University? IATL welcomes guest speakers, session leads, and co-teachers to contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate modules. These modules bring together students from disciplines across all three faculties, creating a unique, interdisciplinary learning environment.

Current global themes include Artificial Intelligence, Wellbeing, Digital Futures, Entrepreneurship, Identity, Genetics and Society, Psychopathology, Water, Global Connections, Education, and Music.

This is not an exhaustive list — explore our modules (links to UG and PG modules) to see where your expertise could make an impact.

Keen to get involved? Fill in this form (link to Appendix A) to start the conversation.

  1. Propose a New Inter-, Trans- disciplinary Module

If your area of expertise doesn’t fit within our current modules, we still want to hear from you.

IATL welcomes proposals for undergraduate and postgraduate modules that take inter- or transdisciplinary approaches, whether taught face-to-face, in hybrid mode, or fully asynchronously.

Find out more about proposing a module and submit your application here.
