Launch of the Warwick International Higher Education Academy

Warwick International Higher Education Academy imageWarwick's International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA) will be formally launched at the annual Institutional Teaching and Learning Showcase on Thursday May 7th by Professor Stuart Croft and Professor Christina Hughes.

The WIHEA is the University's new professional association for academic staff. Its aim is to transform the student experience at Warwick through partnership and collaboration between educators and students.

IATL will be engaging with the Academy across all of its spheres of activity, but in training, showcasing, evaluating, and fostering we will be particularly active through stand-alone workshops, the bringing together of existing communities of practice, input into showcases, and the support of innovative practice. As an incubator for projects that are often innovative, risky, and that would benefit from a trial period before they launch in a fully-fledged form, IATL will depend on the Academy to roll out more widely those of these initiatives and activities that prove to be successful.
