IATL is delighted to announce that Caroline Gibson and Jo Wale will serve as Deputy Directors in addition to their job-share as Academic Managers.

Caroline Gibson has a strong interest in undergraduate research and is the co-designer and developer of the award winning International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR) and established Reinvention: an International Journal of Undergraduate Research in 2007. She is a key member of the Student Research Working Group at Warwick and is a member of the Executive Group of the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR). In 2017 Caroline was selected to become a Fellow of the Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA) and is the lead of the WIHEA Internationalisation Learning Circle. Caroline has worked at the University since 2006, initially as a Project Manager within the Department of Politics and International Studies.

Jo Wale manages IATL's portfolio of interdisciplinary modules and has many years of experience in teaching quality, academic policy, curriculum development and higher education consultancy. She was selected to become a fellow of the Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA) in 2017 and is currently co-chair of the WIHEA Interdisciplinary Learning Circle. Jo has worked at Warwick since 2003 and was a Senior Assistant Registrar at Warwick Business School before leaving in 2012 to undertake a number of consultancy roles at universities including Birmingham, Leicester, Warwick, Essex and the Open University.

In addition to these enhanced responsibilities, Caroline and Jo will remain the senior professional contacts for the department's administration.

Earlier this year we also announced that Dr Elena Riva would be taking on the combined role of Director of Studies for our undergraduate and postgraduate interdisciplinary modules.
