Religious Observance at WorldCUR-BCUR
We are thrilled to be welcoming delegates of so many nationalities to the joint WorldCUR/BCUR event and, of course, our delegates also represent a huge range of religious observances. We are aware that the timing of the joint conferences coincides with (or directly precedes) a number of major religious holidays and events, and so we are including information here on resources that delegates can access to observe their own faiths during our event.
Ramadan :
We welcome all people of Islamic faith attending WorldCUR/BCUR and those observing Ramadan.
Our recently refurbished Islamic Prayer HallLink opens in a new window will be available to attendees from 1:15pm-1:45pm and from 5:45pm – 6:15pm during the conference day on Tuesday 4th, Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th April and is conveniently located in our multifaith chaplaincyLink opens in a new window near the Arts Centre, and between our WorldCUR and BCUR venue buildings. Delegates staying in our on-campus accommodation will be able to collect a packed breakfast in the evening prior from their accommodation.
Delegates have been asked if they wish to join congregational prayers and Iftar at our multifaith chaplaincyLink opens in a new window on campus and the expression of interest form for this provision has now closed to ensure we are in line with health and safety regulations at the venue.
Passover:
We welcome all people of the Jewish faith attending WorldCUR/BCUR and those observing Passover.

Delegates have been asked if they would like to participate in a Seder on the evening of Wednesday 5th April and due to time constraints to arrange this activity, the expression of interest form is now closed.
Easter:
We welcome all people of Christian faiths attending WorldCUR-BCUR and those observing Easter.
Maundy Thursday Service will be held at 5.15pm on Thursday 6th of April at the multifaith chaplaincy,Link opens in a new window all are welcome to attend.
Our conference Closing Plenary will conclude at 5pm on Thursday 6th April in the Arts Centre and the Chaplaincy located just behind the Arts Centre. If you would like to attend this service and use the baggage-holding service, please email worldcur@warwick.ac.uk and arrangements will be made to have your luggage transferred to the Chaplaincy.
