About the Project

The creative component of my SDA, GenoLife, is an app that is set in the year 2046. The app allows prospective parents to “design” their future child through the selection and optimisation of genetic traits. Users are guided through a sleek and highly commercialised interface where they can select characteristics related to intelligence, emotional resilience, sociability, health, physical appearance, productivity, and even neurodiversity. The app resembles a combination of a fertility clinic, an online shopping platform, and a wellness application. It includes subscription plans, probability sliders, trending traits, and premium upgrades.
