Olamide studied Liberal Arts (BA Hons) from 2018-2021, taking both Forms of Identity and Global Connections as third-year module choices, following her taking Entrepreneurship: A Critical Perspective and AN Introduction to Design Thinking the previous year.
About the Project
This project consists of a poem, recorded on video being read by Olamide, plus a supporting document.
Ultimately, my aim for this poem is to humanise migrants to members of the Western world. The title of my poem, ‘Us versus Them’, allures to Edward Said’s exploration of the concept of ‘othering’ that the West often imparts on the rest of the world.
