Great Success for TIA at MICCAI 2025
Several TIA colleagues attended the MICCAI Society Conference held in South Korea in September 2025 and participated in a series of Challenges.
🥇 1st Place in Track 1 – Mitotic Figure Detection
🥈 2nd Place in Track 2 – Atypical Mitotic Figure Classification
The MIDOG Challenge focuses on the automated analysis of mitotic figures, a key task in cancer grading. This year’s challenge introduced atypical mitoses and more complex tissue domains. This continues a strong record for the TIA, having previously achieved 1st place finishes in MIDOG 2021 and 2022.
Up next, was the CHIMERA Grand Challenge where our team “TIA-Pegasus” secured leading positions. Participation in the Challenge saw teams compete across three tasks on multimodal AI for cancer prognosis and treatment response and TIA colleagues consisting of (Jiaqi Lv, Ethar Alzaid, Adam Shephard, Shan E Ahmed Raza, led by Noorul Wahab) secured 1st place in Task 1.
