A workshop with translator Sophie Hughes and Mexican writer Laia Jufresa was held at the University of Warwick on Wednesday 22nd November 2017. The workshop was open to all students, with no knowledge of Spanish required as literal translations were provided. The workshop encouraged students to think about the ways in which meaning can be translated, and explored some of the universal challenges faced by professional literary translators.
