XMaS takes the strain off Moore's law

Prof. Markys Cain from the UK’s National Physical Laboratory presents in the Physics Word focus issue on Nanotechnology (5th June 2014 Issue) the EU’s new Nanostrain project to develop an alternative to CMOS transistors based on nanoscale piezoelectrics. A major part of the work is the use of synchrotron X-ray diffraction at XMaS.
