Previous MChem Student Rebecca has her work published in Organometallics! A study using in-situ 19F NMR to emphasise the importance of solvent choice during Grignard transmetallation reactions to make organocopper reagents. We identify some unusual pentafluorophenyl-cuprate species including a remarkable organocopper polymer! This study also reveals the solid state structure of [CuC6F5]4(dioxane) 50 years after its original discovery!
