Feature Article in Chem. Comm.
We have published a feature article presenting the use of single-source precurors with two or more different metals which can be converted into mixed-metal oxide materials.
Inaugural Midlands Materials Chemistry Network meeting
Enjoyed the talks at the first Midlands Materials Chemistry Network meeting, looking forward to more in the future.
Seb awarded Royal Society University Research Fellowship
Seb has been awarded a Royal Society University Research Fellowship and the Pike group has moved to the University of Warwick. We are very grateful for the support from the Royal Society and excited to make a new start at Warwick.
Publication in Chemical Science
Really pleased to announce our work upon the photoredox reactivity of small Ti-oxo clusters has been published in Chemical Science. Thanks to collaborators Dr. Tobias Kraemer and Dr. Floriana Tuna for their contributions! We show even the smallest chunk of metal oxide semiconductor can undergo productive photochemistry with charge separation, and that a two electron, intramolecular photoredox mechanism occurs
Well done Kinran!
Part III student Kinran Lau will be moving on to start a PhD at the International Max Planck Research School for Interface Controlled Materials for Energy Conversion, working in the group at the University of Duisburg-Essen under the supervision of Prof. Stephan Barcikowski and Prof. Martin Muhler.
We wish Kinran the best of luck with his new project!
