Two students from the EVGP 2013 team (Sean and Sam) attended an event (at Cardinal Wiseman School) held for children aged 12-14 to encourage them to consider a future in engineering. The team took along some components from the kart along to briefly explain how the kart worked and to show off the more practical side of engineering. The Warwick University Engineering department stand, which was represented by the EVGP team attracted a lot of attention, even from children who had not considered a future in engineering. The event was a great success with some of the children discussing their future in studying engineering and some children already capable of discussing topics on how the kart could be improved, knowledge which impressed the EVGP team.
