PhD Research students Arnesh Vijay and Hao Liu have won the IET Midlands 'Best Poster' award for their research poster entitled ‘Radio on Visible Light (RoVL) Communication System’.

The competition well attended, attracting nearly 50 participants from the Midlands region. The poster projects were judged in four main categories, with Arnesh and Hao winning under the 'Technical Innovation’ category.

The judges were extremely impressed with the students' project idea and the developments in their research to render a new dimensional approach for mobile telephony, through visible light.
