I was awarded B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D., all in Electronic & Electrical Engineering and also awarded a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology. I won a Full Boxing Blue representing Cambridge University in the 78th Varsity Boxing match between Oxford and Cambridge, making history as the first Varsity Boxing match to have no stoppages. Following a period in industry working on automated testing systems for the European Space Agency’s Ariane space rocket, I spent 20 years as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Communications, Controls, & DSP at various universities in the UK, USA and China. In 2018 I  joined the School of Engineering at Warwick as Senior Teaching Fellow having spent the previous five years at the University of York. I  specialise in Control Systems and Analogue Electronics.
