Biography

Dr. Pradeep Lamichhane holds the position of Research Fellow at the School of Engineering, having joined in 2022. His primary focus is on researching chemicals produced in small-scale plasma-based plants powered by renewable energy sources. This investigation is backed by the ERC Synergy Grant called “Surface-COnfined fast modulated Plasma for process and Energy intensification” (SCOPE), sponsored by the European Commission.

Dr. Lamichhane earned his MSc in Physics from Tribhuwan University, Nepal, and completed his doctoral studies in Physics at Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Korea. During his doctoral research, he concentrated on non-thermal plasma generation and diagnosis. Subsequently, he spent a year as a researcher at the Plasma-Bioscience Research Centre before joining the University of Warwick.

  • Evaluation of plasma sources using electrical and spectroscopic techniques.

  • Investigation into biomedical applications of plasmas.
  • Exploration of plasma agriculture and micro-fertilizer.
