Hear from Carlos

A bit about me:

- Before starting my PhD at the School of Engineering, I finished my degree in PharmD.

Why I chose Warwick for my doctorate:

  • Because the campus was impressive, the people were warm, and the challenge of being at Warwick was exciting, a new experience for me.

What I liked best about my time at Warwick:

  • The feeling of growing and expanding my academic horizons surrounded by excellent colleagues.

After completing my doctorate:

  • I am working in the industry, further expanding on the topics I researched and investigated here at Warwick.

If I could time travel, what advice would I give my younger self, when starting a PhD at Warwick?

  • My friends said to run away from the PhD, jokes apart, I'd say they were wrong. If anything, take it slowly. The PhD is a marathon, not a sprint.

If you were to describe your time at Warwick in just 3 words, what would they be?

  • Inspiring
  • Enabling
  • Optimistic

Anything else to add?

  • I can not thank my colleagues and mentors enough for all the help in my academic experience at Warwick.
