Nanomaterials for advanced printed electronics
Nanomaterials have shown great potential for electronic devices since they provide unprecedented and desirable material properties due to their high surface area-to-volume ratio and quantum confinement properties. Additive manufacturing (AM, so called 3D printing) of nanomaterials has been demonstrated to fabricate advanced electronic devices such as flexible and wearable electronics, optoelectronics and sensors by allowing the creation of customized device geometry. In this seminar, I will present the successful integration of nanomaterials into AM processes to produce flexible electronics.

Bio: Dr Im joined the University of Warwick as an assistant professor in School of Engineering (Materials Engineering). After she earned her PhD in Chemistry (Polymer Science) at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, USA, in 2012, she has built up her research profile in both academic (postdoc at MIT and University of Nottingham) and industry (senior research engineer, Samsung SDI) in the field of electronic materials, sensor and additive manufacturing. Her current research interests include nanomaterials for photoelectrochemical water splitting for green hydrogen production.
