Project Synopsis

My project aims to use machine learning to improve our ability to study magnetic systems, by performing a machine learned fitting between ab initio relativistic DFT calculations of electron interactions and classical, atomistic spin models. This will enable study of more complex magnetic systems and enable searches for new functional magnets, containing smaller proportions of critical materials.
