Lorenzo Quarisa

I'm a second-year PhD student, working under the supervision of Prof. Jose Rodrigo.

My research lies in the field of partial differential equations. In particular, the vanishing viscosity limit for the Navier-Stokes equations: can inviscid fluids be approximated by low-viscosity fluids, even when a boundary is present? After more than a century, there is still no rigorous answer. The same goes for models that predict the presence of a boundary layer where the viscous fluid behaves differently, such as Prandtl's equation.

Before Warwick I obtained my master's at the University of Turin and my bachelor's at the University of Trento, in Italy.
