Appointment of Local CRN GP Research Champions
Six GPs have been recruited as part of the Clinical Research Network to act as research champions in their respective CCGs with the aim of supporting the local expansion of research in primary care.
The main components of this role include:
· Being a key member of the local clinical research team, raising awareness of research with colleagues, identifying and recruiting more research active practices
· Being a point of contact and liaison between the CCG and the local clinical research team, ensuring that the both are aware of research opportunities that are relevant to the area
· Providing clinical expertise on research protocols and assisting with feasibility work to ensure study recruitment is maximised
