The West Midlands (South) Comprehensive Local Research Network and PCRN are working together to engage GP Practices who have never participated in commercial research before. So far, the pilot has identified four local GP Practices from across Warwickshire and Worcestershire who have expressed interest in participating in commercial research. After an initial meeting, GP Practices are informed of new studies through Lauren Thakrar (part of the CLRN), and invited to complete a feasibility assessment. This includes detailing their previous research experience; facilities, resources and staffing, alongside selling their interest and enthusiasm for research.
