The Medical School works with a wide range of partners who may not have a formal contract with the University. Access to university systems requires an IT account and therefore a lightweight IT account is available to enable identity management for this target group. People in this target group will be given a basic IT account, so that they are able to logon and use some of the Universities systems as appropriate.

These accounts are preferred to the old "external user" accounts as they are automatically added to Moodle.

Request “External Partner” accounts via ITS helpdesk@warwick.ac.uk the fields required are as follows:

• Owner = Medical School
• Target Group = External Partner
• Title
• Forename
• Surname
• External email
• Gender
• Date of Birth (required along with their University ID when registering account at https://websignon.warwick.ac.uk/origin/account/register )
• Start Date
• End Date
• Department

Administrators in an appropriate role can be given permission to create these External Partner accounts using the membership system.
