Nicky Chorley
I have now left Warwick! My (permanent) homepage is here.
I completed a BSc in Physics and Astrophysics at the University of Birmingham in 2006 and following this, I moved to Imperial College London where I studied for an MSc in Computing Science. My individual project - titled "Observing worms and viruses with a network telescope" - was supervised by Dr. Uli Harder.
At Warwick, I am supervised by Dr. Bogdan Hnat (and, informally, Prof. Valery Nakariakov) and my work is currently focused on oscillations in sunspots. As sunspots are a sign of activity in the Sun, my project will later involve "measuring" solar activity in the Earth's magnetosphere. I am a demonstrator for the microprocessors experiment that is part of the PX271 Physics Skills module.
