Magnetic resonance uses quantum physics to create real-world technologies like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). We push back the boundaries of these techniques and combine them with emerging research in electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP).

The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Integrated Magnetic Resonance (iMR) involves internationally-leading researchers at the Universities of Warwick, St Andrews/Dundee, Southampton, Nottingham and Aberdeen as well as all the major industrial magnetic resonance companies.

Fully-funded PhD Projects were available spanning the fields of MRI, EPR, NMR and DNP. Our goal is to unlock creativity and stimulate new technological developments in MR furthering the reach and increasing the impact. The programme was open to graduates with a 1st class degree in Physical Sciences, who were looking for a challenging, interdisciplinary research training environment and had an active interest in the development of new technologies. More details are given here.
