This is the second in our new seminar series where we hear from staff, students and members of the wider healthcare community about the experiences and challenges they have faced within their careers and how they have overcome them. This is an inspiring series of virtual seminars where we hope the audience will also be able to share their thoughts and questions as part of the approach.

Our next seminar features Professor Olanrewaju Sorinola and recent graduate of the MB ChB and honorary research fellow Dr Nariell Morrison who will share their perspectives from different points in their medical careers. Professor Sorinola will discuss his experiences as a black academic and an NHS consultant. He will talk about his time at WMS and some of the challenges in being the first black professor at Warwick Medical School (WMS). Dr Morrison will talk about her career to date and what it means to be a black medical professional within the NHS.
