The department has a dedicated placement officer and a careers service team. They are here to help you identify and apply for placements, as well as developing your employability and transferable skills.

You can access support at any point in your degree and after you graduate.

What can I do with a Psychology degree?

BSc Psychology and joint courses with Education Studies and with Linguistics are British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited providing eligibility for Graduate Membership of the BPS.

Psychology Placements Teaching Fellow, Dr. Gitit Kadar-Satat

“I am a Teaching Fellow who oversees all undergraduate placements and internships in the Department of Psychology. I support students in identifying and applying for work experience opportunities that will develop their skills and enhance their employability.

I am responsible for the Intercalated Year Work Placement programme. I am the module convenor for 'Placement, Outreach, and Engagement' - a final year optional module in Psychology. I offer workshops, group meetings, and one-to-one appointments.”

“I am a qualified Careers Consultant who can help you to reflect on your career goals and assist you with non-directive interventions.

You can access my support through Meetings, Moodle courses, and Employability course-related sessions and workshops. I offer group webinars and one-to-one meetings and am also a Sprint, Female development trainer.”
