On Thursday, 21st March 2013 we celebrated the launch of the Warwick Centre for Industrial Biotechnology and Biorefining with lunch, lectures and a drinks reception.

Speakers: Rob Edwards (Chief Scientific Officer, DEFRA), Paul Law and Paul Mines (Biome Bioplastics), Richard Bailey from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC, Challenge), Alex Amey from the, Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and the Merlin Godlmand from theTechnology Strategy Board (TSB) who will update us on developments in the field.

Attendees also had the opportunity to see the WorldF3rst Formula 3 racing car developed by the Warwick Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre at the University of Warwick.
