  • through Linguistics modules, you have an opportunity to explore the incredible tool that is language, including how it works, its components (sounds, words, grammar), how many languages are spoken and how they differ, how language is shaped by society and how it is learnt and acquired.
  • through English Language modules, you learn about the structure of English, the history and future of the English language and how to analyse English texts. Modules in this strand also provide you with insights into how to teach English, should a career in English language teaching interest you.

On this degree you will also study modules on research methods, so you can design, conduct and write up your own research projects.
