UCET Conference enjoyed by all
On Tuesday the 5th November, academics from CTE attended the Conference in Stratford Upon Avon to meet up with colleagues from other institutions and network around the issues of the day. We had a number of thought provoking speakers laid on. Mary Bousted spoke about the changing landscape of ITE whilst Trevor Mutton spoke around “When should new teachers begin to ask critical questions?”. In the Q and A sessions, they were able to respond to pertinent questions and ensure any misconceptions were dealt with.
Jonty Leese, Senior Teaching Fellow at CTE who attended the Conference explained:
"In a breakout session, I led a discussion around how we have been using OneNote to enhance reflections. People who attended were able to dialogue with me and I was able to forge discussions with key thinkers in across the UK. It will be exciting to see how these new relationships mature and strengthen over time. It was great to find that many of the joys and challenges raised by our friends from other ITE providers are the same as ours – so we are not alone!"
The Conference was an excellent example of co-creation of knowledge and publication with PGCE students and trainees.
