Key Responsibilities:

Deborah is an Associate Professor at CTE with responsibility for leading the Professional Enquiry and Professional Practice modules on the Early Years and Primary PGCE.

Professional and Teaching Expertise
Deborah began her career in primary education, working in 3 different primary schools in 2 different authorities, acting as both phase leader and deputy head. She led a diverse range of areas including IT, Science, Design Technology and Assessment. She also worked as a senior lecturer at the University of Cumbria, working with both undergraduate, PGCE and Masters students, teaching on research-related courses and supervising research projects.

Academic Interests & Teaching & Learning Specialisms:
Deborah's responsibilities on the Primary and Early Years PGCE include: teaching on Professional Enquiry and Professional Practice modules; acting as a Moderation Link Tutor and Personal Tutor; leading on academic writing; co-ordinating Personalised provision; and supervising MA student dissertations.
