Lead Partners

In-person PGCE (with QTS)

We have a long-standing partnership with many Lead Partners for our in-person PGCE (with QTS). These partners work with schools locally, to place you for your professional practice placements. The University works closely with Lead partners on the design and delivery of the programme.

If you apply to one of these partners you'll benefit from the Ofsted-rated outstanding PGCE (with QTS) programme, while being supported by one of our experienced Lead Partners.

You can apply directly to the courses these partners offer on the DfE Find and Apply system. Your application will then be considered by the partner.

Arden Teaching Alliance

Arden is the lead school in a group of highly achieving secondary and primary schools based mainly in the Solihull area. The diverse catchment areas of our schools allow us to facilitate truly complementary and contrasting settings in which trainee teachers can learn their craft. Our commitment to research driven action in the classroom is reflected in our innovative and up to date training.

Woodrush Training Consortium

Based on the Birmingham/Solihull border, with placements available in schools across North Worcestershire, Birmingham & The Black Country; we support teachers through each part of the 'golden thread' with many of our trainees continuing their journey with us on the Early Career Framework or to work with us as future mentors.

The Lion Alliance

The Southam Teaching Alliance is a dynamic and forward thinking teacher training school which offers secondary and primary positions in the Coventry and Warwickshire area. Based at Southam College we work closely as an alliance of secondary and primary schools together with the University of Warwick

Coventry and Central Warwickshire Teaching School Hub

As a DfE Designated Teaching School Hub, we are proud to work closely with the University of Warwick; as a Lead Partner we recruit and train teachers across a range of primary, secondary and specialist partner schools where colleagues are committed to nurturing and supporting you at this vital stage of your career.

The Ignite Federation

The Ignite Federation: two unique primary schools serving very diverse communities, which ensures trainees get the absolute best of experiences. The Revel School has a major focus on outdoor learning and was recently rated Good by Ofsted: 'staff morale is high and there is a joyful spirit in the school'. Wolvey Primary School’s children come from the local Gypsy, Roma community, the local Military Barracks and from local village communities, and has ‘Outstanding’ behaviour and attitudes (Ofsted, June 2023).

Digitally-delivered PGCE (with QTS)

We are proud to work with a limited number of partners via a digital delivery route. These partners work with schools nationwide, where you will be placed for your professional practice placements, but the PGCE-taught provision of the programme will be delivered digitally by the University of Warwick via synchronous (live) teaching sessions. The University works closely with Lead partners on the design and delivery of the programme.

If you apply to one of these partners you'll benefit from the Ofsted-rated Outstanding PGCE (with QTS) programme at the University of Warwick without the need to travel to the University for your university days, as you'll attend online.

You can apply directly to the courses these partners offer on the DfE Find and Apply system. Your application will then be considered by the partner.

In partnership with the University of Warwick we offer primary, secondary and SEND teacher training places to start in September 2025. Trainees will study online for a PGCE with Master’s credits and a QTS award.
