Mentoring

Hi, my name is Alyssa and I teach at a British International school in Bangkok, Thailand. I currently teach Year 2, and I am looking forward to mentoring my first student, who will be starting in January. I am excited to share my passion for teaching and I hope to inspire those setting out on this journey. I am lucky to work at a supportive, highly child-centered school where we encourage the children to follow their interests and develop a love of learning. I believe through welcoming others to learn in this environment, it will help them to develop valuable teaching skills to take with them as they start out in their career. In being a mentor, I hope to allow future teachers to be well equipped in tackling the many exciting challenges of working in this profession. I also feel that it will be a good opportunity to develop my own practice and I look forward to learning new things alongside the trainees.
