Permission to Recruit ITT for 2023-24

You no longer need to use the Trainee Teacher Portal (TTP) to check whether you have permission to recruit. Permission to Recruit has been issued by the DfE at the start of the year in two categories:

Unlimited Category P.E Unlimited Category
PE Tuition Fee Route. P.E numbers are now unlimited from the DfE but speak to CTE if you intend on recruiting more than your usual allocation. All PGCE courses are unlimited. If you wish to run a course that you did not include in your initial request, you should contact CTE on cte.admissions@warwick.ac.uk. Once there is University approval, you would then add to your Publish system.
PE with EBaccLink opens in a new window
Trainees with a grade C or equivalent at A-Level in the relevant EBacc subject can train in an additional EBacc subject alongside their main specialism of PE so that they are capable of teaching this in school. They must demonstrate the Teachers’ Standards in PE only, whilst receiving additional training in an EBacc subject (English, Maths, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, History, MFL). You are able to advertise PE with EBacc on the Publish system, should you have a successful candidate you will then need to email cte.admissions@warwick.ac.uk then ITT.allocations@education.gov.uk with their details for final permission from the DfE (as eligibility is dependent on the applicant). Please ensure details of the course are clear in the course description, especially the additional A-Level grade C requirement.
