Your conditions

You must to meet the conditions of your offer before you enrol.

Ideally you should begin clearing these conditions so that you can meet your requirements at least one month in advance of the start date. This is because it can take some time to verify your conditions have been met, and you will be required to enrol prior to the first day of induction.

In addition, if you are entitled to a bursary, the payment of this could be delayed if you have not met your conditions in good time.

The conditions of your offer will be listed on each email you receive from PGT2@warwick.ac.uk so check these carefully. If you have any questions about your conditions please contact us as soon as possible.

Qualifications

Degree

If the condition appears on your offer you must provide evidence that you have successfully completed your degree with a minimum final grade of 2.2.

This condition can be passed on the basis of acceptable electronic evidence, but we MUST see your physical degree certificate for compliance purposes so please ensure you bring a copy of this for us to check.

GCSE Maths, English (and Science for Primary & Early Years)

If the condition appears on your offer you must provide evidence that you have successfully completed your GCSEs in Maths, English (and for Primary & EY) Science

This condition can be passed on the basis of acceptable electronic evidence

GCSE Equivalency Test in Maths, English (and Science for Primary & Early Years)

If you are undertaking a GCSE Equivalency test to clear one of the GCSE conditions which appears on your offer, you must provide evidence that you have successfully completed your Equivalency test in the required subject AHEAD OF THE START DATE of the programme. Tests MUST be passed and evidence received by the university before you are permitted to enrol. We advise that you undertake your test(s) as soon as possible after receiving your offer, to allow time for a resit if required.

Safeguarding

Capacity to Teach Form

Submit an online Capacity to Teach Form

This condition will be cleared once a form has been submitted.

We are keen to support all trainees to successfully complete their course.

Please read the form carefully and ensure you request a meeting with the Departmental Senior tutor to discuss your disability or condition that may require support or adjustment when prompted to on the form.

This condition will be cleared once your form is submitted and checked.

Please read the form carefully and ensure you disclose any and all conditions or disabilities. If a disclosure is made your form will be assessed (confidentially) by one of our Occupational Heath Team, who will arrange a telephone call or appointment and make

any recommendations for adjustments or assistance to enable you to meet the criteria for teaching and teacher training. Once you have met with the team, and your form is assessed this condition will be passed.

We are keen to support all trainees to successfully complete their course and this question aims to encourage a positive climate of disclosure and a holistic approach to support.

DBS Check

Provide an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate Link opens in a new windowand provide a clear non-UK check(if applicable)

You will receive a link from noreply@knowyourpeople.co.uk within 10 days of you having accepted our offer (please check junk/spam folders if you have not received this, and contact Disclosures@warwick.ac.uk if you require assistance).

The DBS condition will only be cleared once your certificate has been returned by the DBS Service.

Please ensure you action any and all emails from our disclosures team and the Know your People to progress your check as early as possible.

These checks can take time to be returned by the DBS Service so the sooner you apply and follow all required steps, the better. Any delay in your DBS check may impact your enrolment onto the programme, and any placement organisation.

Teacher Services Restriction List Check

Successfully clear a Teacher Services Restrictions check confirming that you are not prohibited from teaching.
You will be automatically checked on the Employer Access Online service.

Two References

Two appropriate references in support of your application to train to teach.
